One way to show the court that you are taking the matter seriously is to be well groomed and well dressed. You do not want to look like you just rolled out of bed or are going out for a night on the town.

Instead, you should wear clean, business casual clothes when going to court. You should not wear low-cut tops, muscle shirts, shorts, or anything that shows too much skin. Your goal is to make a good impression.

If you have a lawyer representing you, the best thing to do is let them do the talking for you during your trial. All you need to do is be attentive and respectful. Look at the person talking, and remember not to have any outbursts.
